So in a few days, I head to Sedona Arizona with one of my best friends from New York for a week together. With Cheryl living in New York and my living in the Boston area; this is our first vacation together in quite a while.
Vacation Packing
Because I’m flying out of Boston, I will be dressed in Winter clothing. However, when I arrive in Sedona; the temperature for the month of January has been in the 60’s and low 70’s. When I recently spoke to the Concierge Service at our hotel; I learnt there is a difference in the temperature in the Grand Canyon region. With this in mind, I will have to pack transitional clothing items for my trip.
Visit my Vacation Packing Essentials post for some packing tips.
Sedona Arizona
In the first place, we’re both excited for our upcoming trip. Ultimately on our agenda is girl time, relaxation and a trip to the Grand Canyon. Whenever I’m going away; I try to plan some things to do before my arrival. With this said, I am working on planning a few day trips.
Since I have never been to Arizona, I’m looking forward to exploring the city of Sedona. When we arrive, we are flying into Phoenix. From Phoenix, we will be taking a shuttle to the hotel we’re staying. Upon our arrival, we will get situated and have a fun night in the area for dinner and drinks.
Sedona Arizona
Although we’re on vacation for girl time; we will definitely take advantage of the city. In the same fashion, we will be planning a lot of day excursions to view the breathtaking red rock scenery. Since Sedona is known for its uplifting Vortex meditation; I’m looking forward to a spiritual connection. Not only is this a special place to feel energized; but it also gives you the opportunity to reach out and touch the vortexes.
Although not everyone is up for hiking; you can experience this from the lower level. No doubt, I will be doing this from a lower vantage point. Also, I’m looking forward to visiting some of the art galleries and unique shops. Of course, we will be planning some visits to the Spa as well as other day trips to explore the city.
No doubt, I will be following up with a post on my daily excursions once I return back to Boston.
As always, I welcome your comments.
