Mel Owens
With Mel beginning his journey to find love as the new Golden Bachelor, will the backlash he received about his age comments before he met any of the women be an issue?
Mel said prior he wasn’t interested in meeting women over the age of 60. Due to his comments, there was considerable speculation about whether ABC would have him as the Golden Bachelor. But ABC stuck with their decision.
And tonight begins Mel’s journey.
So, did his thoughts change once he met the women vying for a rose?
Mel is 66 years old and a former NFL player. Meanwhile, if you are a fan of football, check out my 2025 NFL Season Kicks Off post.
When he retired from the NFL, he became a lawyer and the founding partner of Nammany.
Shortly after he lost his father, his marriage ended. He lives in Orange County, California, and is divorced and the father of two sons. Additionally, both his boys are students and participate in sports.
