Wild leopard is roaring this season. Since leopard has been a staple in my closet since I was a teenager, I’m happy to see this as the rage for fall.
Animal Prints
Leopard, tigers and zebra prints started in the eighteenth century. Europeans brought home the skin of these animals. Furthermore, these skins were reproduced on fabrics and showed up on sex symbols such as Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall.
Wild Leopard
For me, leopard prints never go out of fashion. Many consider leopard a neutral, since they are black, beige, and brown. Leopard prints were featured on the runways for fall 2016. Whether in trench coats, long and short skirts, or dresses, this trend is “spot on” this season. Leopard is seasonless and can be worn year around.
How to wear
Wear leopard full on, or accent your style by adding an accessory. Consider wearing the print as an accent. Due to leopard’s popularity this season, some fashion suggestions are:
- Belt
- Dress
- Trench coat
- Skirt
- Blouse
- Handbag
- Collar
- Shoes
- Boots
- Scarf
- Sweater
- Capes
- Sweatshirts
- Pants
- Lingerie
- Slip dress
Embracing Leopard
On the whole, leopard can be bold, and hints to be mischievous. While leopard head to toe may be too dramatic, consider the pattern as an accent or accessory. In addition, leopard can be used in home furnishings. Some tips on embracing this pattern in your home are:
- Dishware
- Towels
- Pillows
- Sheets
- Blankets
- Rugs
Shop
While shopping this season, styles featured below are some options to consider. In the same fashion, the first suggestion I have is the dress below. Also, this dress works for almost any occasion.
Secondly, the wild leopard coat featured below is perfect for the late Fall and Winter months. The coat is an A-line swing style made of a wool and cashmere blend.
As shown above, the coat works well paired with black pants. Equally important is the leopard Mary Jane pump below. So, take a walk on the wild side with these pointy leopard print shoes perfect for day or after 5 wear.
Since leopard is hotter than ever, embrace the “Wild.” Will you be embracing the leopard trend this season?
In conclusion, how will you be wearing it?
