Nick Viall final rose last night was the end of the journey of this seasons Bachelor television show. With this not being Nick’s first rodeo on the television franchise, he struggled until the end with his decision.
Although Nick fell in love with both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe, as the Bachelor, he was looking for a love that he never felt before.
When the season first began, I wrote a post on Nick Viall. So, every season Reality Steve posts the winner before the show has started, ruining the surprise. Reality Steve has been on the mark with the final four, final two and the winner, Vanessa Grimaldi.
Nick Viall Final Rose
Raven Gates was one of my favorites early on and I was happy to see her make it to the final two. As the runner-up, Raven expressed her feelings to Nick. Of course, Nick had to let her down. Since Nick was in the same situation in the past, he knew how Raven felt. If Nick knew who he was going to choose, I wondered why he didn’t let her go sooner.
Also, Nick and Raven’s final date came across through editing as the real deal. So, Nick tells her that he has grown to care for her, but says he doesn’t think he is in love, his heart is somewhere else.
Vanessa Grimaldi
As Raven exits, you know his final rose will go to Vanessa. Will she accept? When Vanessa enters, Nick tells her he has been falling in love with her since the second rose ceremony. He then goes on to tell her, he loves her and Vanessa tells him she knows things aren’t going to be easy.
Of course, then comes the proposal. Vanessa accepts Nick’s proposal and the couple leave on a horse-drawn carriage.
After the Final Rose
Back to reality. Time to see how Nick and Vanessa are doing. Enter Raven, Nick’s runner-up. Raven apologizes to Nick for coming across so stoic at the end. Although Raven struggled with certain things in the series, she chose to be optimistic around Nick.
Chris Harrison asks Raven how she feels that Nick chose Vanessa. Of course, Raven tells Nick she is really happy for him. Chris invites Raven to Bachelor in Paradise this summer and she gladly accepts.
After Raven departs, the happy couple is introduced to the audience. For me, Vanessa came across as a little skeptical about the future. Even though Vanessa received the final rose, she lets everyone know things haven’t been easy for the couple. Also, when Nick and Vanessa kiss on stage, I noticed that Nick wiped his mouth. Did anyone else pick up on that?
Although Vanessa lets everyone know, she is moving to Los Angeles and putting together a charity for people living with disabilities, will the couple stay together? Chris asks the couple many questions about their relationship and future.
Like any couple from the bachelor series, the cameras have stopped rolling. Although the couple is looking forward to entering the real world, will they stay together? For the moment, they are still together. Will they get married? Did Nick make the right choice?
In conclusion, I’m off to sleep. I look forward to Rachel’s turn to the Bachelorette beginning in May.
