Bundle Up Get Outside Enjoy Winter

Since the cold weather has arrived, it is important to bundle up. Since low temperatures require more clothing, dressing in layers will keep you looking fashionable yet warm at the same time.

Bundle Up

With another few months of Winter months ahead, plan to wear your cold weather styles. In the same fashion, wear a turtleneck under a sweater or button down flannel shirt. Pair the look with a pair of denim jeans or corduroy pants.

When you’re heading to the office or dinner, pair chunky knitwear with a skirt and tights. Don’t forget a heavy coat and a pair of boots. For suggestions on boots, visit my prior Fall/Winter Boot Shopping Guide post.

Get Outside

Although it is tempting to stay indoors and curl up indoors, get outside.

If you’re heading outside, make sure you have a warm coat, scarf, gloves and boots on. You don’t want to get caught off-guard by a snowstorm or frigid temperatures.

By heading outside, you will gain the benefits of breathing fresh air. When it snows, there are so many things you can do outside. With this in mind, even shoveling out your walkway will have you interacting with your neighbors doing the same thing.

Also, take advantage of the picturesque landscape and learn to snowshoe. Take up a winter sport. Learn to ice skate, ski or snowboard. In addition, take a walk. You will feel invigorated.

In the event that you want to take advantage of enjoying the outside, take up a winter activity. Whether you do something simple or participate in a vigorous fitness program, you will definitely reap the benefits of a physical activity.

Enjoy Winter

Because Winter is a long season for many, below are some suggestions to try this season.

  • Get a beauty or spa treatment.
  • Bake some gooey chocolate chip cookies.
  • Also, make a Winter bucket list. Visit my post for recommendations.
  • If you live near a local diner or pub, visit often and interact with others. Become a regular.
  • Volunteer. Furthermore, you can volunteer at a Senior Center, Children’s Center, Hospital or Food Bank.

If you’re an individual who prefers staying indoors, catch up on your reading. Visit my future winter reading post for recommendations. Additionally, watch some movies. Since this is Award season, there are many movies available on Netflix to watch.

Whether you bundle up and head outdoors, or stay inside, enjoy the Winter months. In conclusion, let me know what you’re doing this Winter. I look forward to your comments.
