Pack up your summer clothes and get ready to shop for Fall 2016 biggest fashion trends found at retailers everywhere. Since retailers have fall clothes and accessories throughout their stores, time to start thinking about shopping for some new additions. What will be 2016 Fashion’s biggest hits?
Velvet
Since velvet in crush and plush fabric is making its mark in fashions, accessories and footwear this season, velvet is back in a big way. In fact, crush velvet is one of the biggest trends this season. Velvet is featured everywhere and is found in a rainbow of colors. Of course, black is the most popular color. This season, velvet can be found in footwear, skirts, blouses, dresses, jackets, handbags, scarves, and belts. You will find velvet at all price points this season.
Hoodies and Sweaters
Sweaters and hoodies are found everywhere this season. Of course, I have always been on board with wearing cozy hoodies. I’m happy to see that this is trending. Oversize sweaters, side slit sweaters, wide sleeves and hoodies were all over fashion runways. Another option is wearing these new oversize sweaters as a dress or tunic. Hoodies take you throughout the cooler months and are an alternative to outerwear.
Slip Dresses
In fact, I wrote a blog post this past Spring and Summer on slip dresses which are great for layering over t-necks and t-shirts. Designers were creative with this trend this season in creating deeper V-necks and midi lengths. Shapes in slip dresses can be seen in velvet, leather and simple fabrics. So, together with tights, and layering pieces, the slip dress will take you into cooler months with a little creativity. Let me know how you will wear this style.
Leopard
Feline prints are back again this season. Of course, Leopard is a timeless trend that seems to always make its way back into fashion. Since this season is no exception, you can find leopard shown in outerwear, dresses and accessories this Fall.
Puffer Jackets
Designers are embracing fuller styles in jackets in various textures, proportions and colors this season. Puffer jackets are practical and can take you into colder weather while looking fashionable at the same time.
Metallic Colors
Due to the popularity of metallic gold, silver, copper and purple in accessories, this trend has found its way into accessories, apparel and footwear. Turtlenecks
Funnel neck, cowl neck and turtlenecks are making its way back this fall. Turtlenecks are practical and can be found in colors, sleeve lengths and various lengths everywhere. Since prices range on turtlenecks from low to high, anyone can afford to purchase this staple item.
