Fashion Survey Amazon Contest Results

So recently, I sent out a fashion survey to learn a little bit more about my Subscribers to my blog. In exchange for this information; any Subscriber to my blog site who filled out this survey was entered into a contest to win a $50.00 Amazon Gift Card.

When this survey was sent out, I received a comment asking me if I would be publishing the results. So, I’m happy to share the results with you. Be sure to check out Fashion Survey Subscription Contest post to read more about this.

As of July 1st, the contest is officially over and I’m happy to share the results of the survey with you. In the first place, the overwhelming majority of responses were excited to shop for new clothes. Consequently, the breakdown with the type of clothes most people want to shop for are as follows:

Colorful – 52.5%
Flirty – 46.8%
Sophisticated – 40.7%
Outdoorsy – 39%
Clothes with Great Patterns – 37.3%
Also, Hippie Chic and clothes made for warm weather were 37.3%
Work-out wear – 36.6%
Professional – 33.9%
Sporty – 32.2%
Preppy – 23.7%
Clothes for Nightlife – 22%

When looking at the above results, the one thing I learnt was the majority of people prefer colorful, fun and sporty clothing styles. Although there was an interest in other styles of clothes; I think overall most people are looking for stylish clothes that are functional.

At the same time, most people are looking for wearable styles and definitely have strong opinions on what they like. Also, price and quality were the overwhelming response in making any new purchase. Consequently, a brand played little part in someone’s decision.

In summary, this contest provided a lot of unique answers and overall; I found the majority of people are looking for stylish clothes that flatter their body type.
