Fringe is having a moment!
This is one of those trends that has staying power and having a big Fashion Moment. Many Designers have had fringe on their list since the 2014 Fall Season.
We started seeing Fringe showing up on the runways last Fall 2014. Some of the Designers showing this trend:
- Ralph Lauren
- Michael Kors
- Dolce and Gabbana
We are seeing the fringe trend continuing with Spring and Summer 2015. Fashion in styles for Women in tunics, dresses, and accessories. Fall 2015 we are seeing this trend continuing from a number of Designers and several cheaper trendier stores such as Zara, H & M and Forever 21.
Fringe shown on clothing and accessories have a way to look trendy without being over-the-top. This trend has staying power and looks cool from going out to a music festival, wearing to work, or going out on a night in the city.
With the 1970’s influence, I like the boho-luxe look showing this trend shown in a shawl. The shawl adds a nice accent and keeps this trend relevant in a subtle way.
Fringe Styles
One of my favorite looks of this trend recently featured was a fun jacket with an all over the fringe skirt.
If the above look is too much for you, another way to wear this trend is in an accessory. Great handbags have been seen in many different styles such as clutch, duffel, and shoulder bags. Fringe trim on shoes and boots were seen everywhere. Also right out of my closet on a pair of booties (see below).
Don’t be afraid to try this – consider it in a jacket, coat, vest, or if your more daring, great skirts and dresses are shown at all price ranges this season.
Although trends tend to run in cycles, I think this trend has staying power. In conclusion, I am personally excited to wear my navy suede fringe skirt and pair it with a fun jacket this Fall.
