Fun Ways to Celebrate Halloween this October with the Pandemic

So, even with the COVID-19 pandemic, I have 5 fun ways to celebrate Halloween this year. Because Halloween is a favorite holiday for both kids and adults; many cities and towns have already nixed a celebration this year.

Since the coronavirus is still a big issue lurking across the world; there are still ways to enjoy the fun with costumes, candy, makeup, and decorations.

Although Salem, Massachusetts has canceled a lot of their festivities; you can still celebrate the holiday safely. So, are you ready for some of my ideas to make this holiday fun without anyone contacting COVID-19?

Five Fun Ways to Celebrate Halloween this October

1. Decorate

In my opinion, this is the year to decorate in a BIG way.

Decorate with this string of lights to hang either outside your door or if you’re having a small gathering. Indeed, these pumpkin lights will be a great addition to any home.

2. Have Treats Available

If you have kids; make sure you have lots of different types of candy or healthy snacks. You can make this fun and plan a scavenger hunt and give a prize to whoever finds everything on your list.

However, if you don’t have kids; you can either leave candy available in a basket outside your home.  Or, you can get creative and string together candy and hang them from your doorway.

3. Watch Halloween Movies

Since many haunted houses and Halloween happenings have been canceled; why not plan some Halloween themed movies either in your home or backyard.

Indeed, the great thing about planning to watch a few scary movies with your family and friends is you can pick the type of movies you think everyone would like. For example, if you think everyone prefers something really scary; why not watch Halloween?

  • Have a pumpkin carving contest
  • Finally, have a small bowl of hand sanitizers for each of your guests
