Let me take you inside Joe’s Milestone birthday party. After working for more than half the year on planning a day for my husband to remember; the big day was over a week ago and celebrated in style.

Joe’s Milestone Birthday Plans

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the plans changed due to a number of issues that came up in the planning stages. When I learned in March that I couldn’t have a cocktail party and my guests wouldn’t be able to move around to speak to other people; I decided to move the party location to my backyard.

By the same token, moving a party in two months’ time became a huge amount of work. After speaking to many caterers, tent rental services, and bartending services; I was able to finally hire 2 different food caterers, a bartending service, and a tent rental company.

In addition, I moved the date from Friday, May 7th to Saturday, May 8th.

Luckily, I had the entertainment portion of my party planned prior; so I was able to get in touch with the singer I hired and inform him of the change of venue and date.

Before the party started, the tent rental company came to my home to set up the tent, tables, chairs, and lighting. I really lucked out as the tent rental company exceeded my expectations.

Prior to the big day, the singer I hired came over to make sure we had electrical outlets.

Of course, all birthdays are special! However, a milestone only comes around a few times in one’s life. When you’re planning an event that family and friends are going to attend; it’s hard to accommodate every request as I had this event mapped out to include open bar service. Hence, anyone under 21 wasn’t included.

When guests arrived, my first 90 minutes was set up for a cocktail hour and appetizers. So, the caterer I hired was fantastic in accomodating certain allergies of several guests. After cocktail hour, I hired a Mobile Pizza company that provided my guests with a Ceasar salad and also I ordered three different types of pizzas.

As people were eating, the singer I hired entertained my guests. George plays the music of many well-known crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, and Neil Diamond.

In addition, George’s personality and interaction had many people dancing.

To top the night off, I had a custom-made cake and miniature pastries made by the talented Master Chef, Dimitri Vallier.
