So, MAFS New Orleans decision day was Wednesday. When the series first started, I was surprised that the Experts matched some of these people together.
MAFS New Orleans Decision Day
Season 11 was much different than prior seasons due to the pandemic. In one month, production was shut down. Due to quarantine, this experience went much longer. In fact, instead of 8 weeks; this season, the couples were married for 4 months.

- Amelia and Bennet – So, this couple seemed like the perfect match from the beginning; and it was no surprise that they both wanted to stay married. In addition, Bennet surprised Amelia by getting a tattoo on his hip of her initials.
- Olivia and Brett – Since they parted ways weeks before decision day; they both showed up to air out things that went wrong in their relationship.
- Karen and Miles – Although I wasn’t sure what this couple would do when it came to their final decision; they both said that they had grown closer in the last few weeks and decided to stay married.
- Christina and Henry – When they meet on decision day, Henry tells the experts that Christina claimed she received a text telling her that Henry was having an affair with another guy. In my opinion, this couple wasn’t a good match. Because right from the beginning; it was clear they were completely different.
- Amani and Woody – Moreover, this couple seemed to have one of the strongest connections throughout the experiment. And, of course, they decided to stay married. However, Armani joked she wanted a divorce but said “just kidding” seconds later.
MAFS New Orleans Decision Day Reunion Special
With decision day behind; the couples meet to discuss what has happened since.
Because the reunion was a lot different than prior seasons due to COVID-19, the couples were in the studio. And, Kevin Frazier hosted the MAFS New Orleans Decision Day Reunion Special from a separate space.
So, the couples talk about where they are in their relationship.
Couples Recap
The first couple to talk about the status of where they are in their marriage was Armani and Woody. At the same time, these two shared they are still in the honeymoon stage. Also, Armani said she was planning to take Woody’s last name; but due to the pandemic, she hasn’t been able to do so yet.
Consequently, Woody surprised Armani with a diamond ring to replace the one she received from the show. Of course, she was extremely touched.
Next, Kevin talks to Olivia and Brett to see if they have spoken to each other. Brett attends this virtually while Olivia is in the studio. Clearly, there is still a lot of animosity between these two; and Olivia says that Brett is a serial dater and has been on Tinder a lot.
In addition, she calls him out and tells him that the experts said if you’re an A-hole in real life, the cameras will zero in on this. Shortly after, she stays for the reunion; but Brett doesn’t hang around to reunite with everyone in the studio.
Amelia and Bennett are next. Meanwhile, their appearance is virtual since they are in Virginia. Bennett shares that he found a job as a Solar Power Consultant and Amelia is working long days at the hospital.
When they were done catching up on what they have been up to since decision day; they share a song for Kevin they wrote with the lyrics being about movie recommendations.
Christina and Henry speak in person and have both moved on. Christina just started dating someone new; and Henry is still searching for the right woman.
Finally, Miles and Karen come out and talk about their relationship since decision day. Clearly, this couple seems to be happy.
MAFS New Orleans Reunion – Couples Meet
Next, the couples talk to Kevin; and meet on stage to chat. Of course, it is apparent that Brett isn’t there; and Henry spoke about how Brett behaved at the Bachelor party. Clearly, he wasn’t missed and Armani said they’ll have a good time without his presence.
Meanwhile, Henry also brings up what went down with him and Christina. Christina seems upset and apologizes to Henry; and although Henry acknowledged her apology, he said he wasn’t willing to forgive her.
In summary, the show ends with Amelia and Bennett performing their song for the group.
