In addition, try eating more organic fruits and vegetables. Of course, eating more fruits and vegetables has been associated with lowering your risk of every major disease. Indeed, using extra virgin olive oil is one of the biggest benefits of this diet. When shopping for an oil, look for one that is high quality.

Also, eat yogurt. When shopping for yogurt at your grocery store, look for products that haven’t been pasteurized. Of course, you can also try making your own. Additionally, incorporate more grains into your daily diet. By eating whole grains, you will benefit from fiber, vitamins and protein.

In the same way, the most important part of a Mediterranean diet is it lowers your risk of certain health diseases. Moreover, it makes your body and brain healthy. Try making pasta from a vegetable spiralizer. Below is an easy to use vegetable and fruit spiral slicer. You can now make your favorite pasta’s out of any of your favorite vegetables. Furthermore, a great recipe to try is to boil eggplant for a minute and top with a few tomatoes and a low-fat cheese. Also, you can use any of your favorite vegetables and add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and add pepper and low-fat cheese for another satisfying side dish or entrée.

Additionally, substitute extra virgin olive oil for butter. If you need to use butter, try using light olivio. Try to substitute meat for fish. When eating meat, cut down on your portion size.

At the same time, another great food substitution is to make a salmon burger instead of a hamburger. Eat yogurt, low-fat pudding or low-fat ice cream instead of ice cream. You can find several different brands available at your local supermarket.
