Playoff Bound Boston Bruins Make Playoffs

Playoff bound Boston Bruins make the playoffs after beating the Tampa Bay Lightening 4-0. Since March 23rd, the Boston Bruins have been playing really well. So now, the regular season is over and the playoffs will start on Wednesday, April 12th and go until the middle of June.

Although the Bruins lost their last two games of the regular season, they have secured the top-3 seed spot in the Atlantic Division. Bruce Cassidy has done a good job as the interim coach.

Playoff Bound Boston Bruins

In the first place, the Bruins will play the Ottawa Senators in-game 1 on Wednesday, April 12th. In addition, they will start the playoffs in Ottawa.

By the same token, the Senators owned the Bruins in the regular season. They won all four games they played. Although the playoffs are a different story, can the Bruins beat the Senators.

Also the Bruins have a better chance of winning in this series, than they would if they played the Washington Capitals. So, will Ottawa continue dominance over the Bruins in the playoffs?  Of course, anything can happen in the post season.

On paper, the Bruins are better on special teams. The Bruins have been very good on the power play, but they have been ineffective lately.

Playoff Boston Bruins Key to Success

At the same time, teams play differently in the post season. While Ottawa is more conservative in puck possession, will that be the same in the playoffs? On another note, the Bruins have been one of the best puck possession teams. In spite of the Bruins last two losses, they have played more aggressively under Cassidy.

Of course, these teams know each others strengths and weaknesses well. Also, the last two games between the Bruins and Senators were decided by one goal. Furthermore, the Bruins have a strong offensive line with one of the top scorers in Brad Marchand. Moreover, the Bruins have a lot of Veteran players. Which Goalie will perform better in the playoffs?

Conclusion

In conclusion, can the Bruins find a way to beat the Ottawa Senators? Will they be able to find some defensive answers to keep the Senators from winning this series? Although the Bruins have a lot of talent, are they able to put together a strong series in this playoff round? With the Bruins playoff experience, will they beat the Senators?

As always, I look forward to your comments on the Playoff Boston Bruins series against the Senators.
