Print Mixing is something fun to consider this season. After all, possibilities are endless
Have fun mixing and matching patterns. Some of the fun color patterns showing up are colorful animal prints. Balancing animal prints with an abstract pattern is sure to get your noticed. Graphic black and white are sophisticated patterns showing up on clothing, shoes, and accessories. For more on the black and white trend see a blog post I did not to long ago. A great minimalistic print is grids. The mixed-media houndstooth like the photo seen below is a great look for the office or a night on the town.
Stripes go with anything. I love the look of a striped top with a plaid skirt or pants. Stripes are a classic look with a twist. Featured below is an interesting way to wear this look. I like a wider stripe tee shirt with a short plaid skirt for a cool vibe. Another variation is wearing a larger striped sweater with skinny stripe cigarette pants or a pencil skirt.
Polka dots are a great and easy print to wear. Hence, the key to wearing polka dots is to have fun with them. Furthermore, add a pop of color or a solid statement piece to balance this style. Tribal prints are one of the biggest trends of the season. Additionally, you can find them on anything. Also, a tribal accessory in a scarf, handbag or anything in between will be sure to get you noticed. Pairing the tribal look with metallic is another great idea. Pairing a legging with a solid sweater or tunic and booties and your all set to rock this trend.
For warmer months I love a floral print. Flowers are a great style. Also, you can wear this all year.
If you’ve shied away from prints in the past, now is the time to embrace them. Whether dressing for work, a casual get together, print mixing is a cool style. Pairing patterns together will be sure to up your style game.
