When Disco Music and Fashion Meet

When disco music and fashion meet; there is bound to be a lot of excitement. Recently, my husband and another couple attended a concert to see the New York Bee Gees and a tribute to Donna Summer. Of course, this concert brought me back to the 70s.

New York Bee Gees and Donna Summer Tribute

The concert was at the Lynn Auditorium in Lynn, Massachusetts. So, as we stepped into the 70s, the music came back to us.

At the same time, the performers from the New York Bee Gees sound were incredible and comparable to the Bee Gees in their prime. In fact, the music was powerful; and they had many people in the audience up on their feet most of the night.

Moreover, this concert included not only the Bee Gees music that they wrote in the 60s and 70s; but also songs they wrote for other artists that became major hits such as “Islands in the Stream” for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

In the second part of the concert, the female vocalists performed music from Donna Summer who was known as the “Queen of the Disco Era”.

In my opinion, the best part of this concert was I recognized all of the music performed. Indeed, it brought me back to my teens!

In essence, I felt like I was transported back to the 70s and was ready to continue dancing long after the concert ended. Hence, anyone seeing them in concert will enjoy the music.

As always, I welcome your comments on when disco music and fashion meet.

So, what are your favorite memories of this era?
