2017 National Friendship Day August 6th

2017 National Friendship Day August 6th

First and foremost, Friendship Day is a special day to celebrate friendship. Moreover, this day is celebrated in a number of countries.

Friendship Day History

Because friendships play an important role in our lives, The United States of Congress declared the first Sunday of the month in August, National Friendship Day. As the day took shape, this has become a national event.

In addition, due to the popularity of honoring your friendship, many other countries have adopted this to celebrate a day for friends.

Friendship Day Celebration

So today, let your friends know you appreciate them. Indeed, the day calls for a day to do something fun. In the same fashion, I have written a special post which will be published tomorrow on Friends Make Life Sparkle.

At any rate, today is a good day to plan something unique. Whether you’re just meeting up for a casual get together, make sure you let your friends know how much they are appreciated. At the same time, use the day to do something extra special.

Since my Hubby is one of my best friends, I will try to plan something special for the day to do with him.

Friendship Day Ideas

If you have a close network of friends, plan a get together. If you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate your friendships, organize a day at the beach or a cookout.

In addition, you can plan a friendship brunch, dinner or plan a weekend getaway. Above all, the day is to spend quality time together.

Friendships and Relationships

First and foremost, a friendship and relationship is built with love and trust. As I always say, you can choose your friends. With this in mind, the choices are yours.

While there are different levels of friendship, you can choose who you want to confide in. By sharing different life experiences and being there for one another, you’re growing and nurturing the relationship.

Of course, a true friend will be there in the best of times and worst of times. They can bring a smile to your face. Or perhaps, they will have you laughing as they share a funny story.

Although not every friendship and relationship lasts forever, you will know who your friend(s) are. Do they bring a smile to your face? Indeed, you have a special place in your heart for this special someone.

Conclusion

In conclusion, ask yourself which friend(s) means a lot to you. Does that person know when to be quiet? Are they honest with you? A true friend knows how to be there in comfort in our lives as we experience grief and bereavement. After all, a friend who cares is worth their weight in gold.

As always, I welcome your comments.

Happy Friendship Day!
