Today’s post is about Autumn home decor ideas. So, we’re in the middle of Fall and you have the urge to redecorate. However, you’re not sure where to start.
Autumn Home Decor Ideas
Ultimately, there is a lot of excitement in home decor trends. However, one of the top trends right now is about texture and shape, while color isn’t having as big an impact. Another big surge in home decor is using beige and white. If you’re craving color, try rich shades of brown, blush, black and green.
Autumn Home Furniture Trends
In the same fashion, one of the biggest trends in furniture is mixing and matching. Many are sick of the matchy match sets and want something different. Since I’m a fan of modern pieces, I tend to mix and match already. For example, I have my living room with a black leather sofa surrounded by colorful suede chairs.
When it comes to your bedroom, why not make your room appealing. Since we spend about a 1/3 of our lives in bed; shake things up with interesting bedding ensembles, pillows and knick knacks.
Green
As you know, everyone is trying to go “Green”. Make sure you visit my Going Gone Green post for other tips. Not only is it about everyone being more environmentally friendly, but also about the color, green. In fact, Greenery was Pantone’s color of the year for Spring/Summer 2017, so it is nice to see this color showing up in home furnishings.
Because velvet is a big trend in the fashion industry; we are seeing home decor pieces in velvet as well. This beautiful quilt is made in green with a chambray back. Furthermore, this cozy quilt is perfect for the Fall/Winter season.
In addition to the above quilt, you can surround your home with velvet accent pieces. After all, what is more luxurious in the Fall and Winter months. Some tips for adding velvet to your home without spending a lot of money is to add a velvet throw or velvet pillows.

Another big trend in home decor is adding texture. When you think about the cooler temperature; why not add some warmth to a room? Again, you can use velvet pillows, throws or add metal frames, baskets, mirrors and ceramic pieces.
Since faux fur was a huge trend the last few years; the puff below will surely add some texture to your decor.
Budget
In essence, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to spruce up your home. So if you need an update, but don’t have the funds, get creative.
