By investing in a hybrid or an electric car you’re contributing to using less gas than a traditional vehicle.    Some vehicles have used recyclable parts.  In addition, some of the best vehicles to consider in going green are:

  1. Toyota Prius
  2. Honda Civic
  3. Volkswagen Jetta

Moreover, the total cost of fuel is a big saving not to mention fewer fumes polluting the environment.

Going Gone GreenGoing gone green for your home is something to do.  By insulating your home your cutting back on energy consumption.   For your lighting fixtures, it is important to buy cost efficient bulbs.  Also, incandescent lights are known to burn hot which pushes up your costs in the warmer weather.  Purchasing LED Bulbs helps your home become more efficient.  In addition, some other things you can do for your home to cut electrical consumption are to purchase a low flow faucet or showerhead.

More and more people are looking to go green at home every day.  Many people are bringing reusable canvas bags to the grocery stores and farmers’ markets.    If you’re using a dishwater, wait until it is full before running it.  Many dishwashers now have an economy cycle option.  When cooking small amounts of food, use a small oven, microwave, or slow cooker.  They all use 30% less in energy.  Furthermore, in the warmer weather, microwaves are known to bring less heat into the kitchen.  Also, well known chefs are bringing food into the kitchen by going farm to table.

Going gone green in your fashion choices.  Many clothing companies are part of the design philosophy and trend of going green by supporting the environment. Accordingly, many luxury brands have started going green.  By switching to vegan fabrics and materials they are showing social responsibility.  Apparel, shoes, and handbag companies depend on leather.  Of course, traditional leather uses heavy metals and chromium which is a waste and a health hazard.  Many Designers have used in vegan leather and suede.  In addition, many companies are using polyurethane in their designs.  With many luxury brands using eco-friendly fabrics and materials they are transforming the Customer’s view that their product is good for the environment.
