Oscars 2016 Best – Worst Dressed has been cast. As for some of the criticism on the worst dressed, I beg to differ on many of their choices and agree with some of the critics. Charlize Theron was definitely on everyone’s best dress list.
She looked stunning in a beautiful dress that complimented her figure and skin tone. She accessorized her dress with over a million dollars of Harry Winston diamonds.
Oscars 2016 Best Dressed
One of my personal favorites, as I wrote about in my prior Oscar Post, was Rooney Mara. I loved the white dress showing some skin in the midriff. Her hair and make-up were impeccable. I loved the triple bun.
Cate Blanchett was predicted on the E Red Carpet to be one of the best dressed. I posted the photo below on my Oscars post prior and loved the dress. In addition, some had her on the worst dress list and I don’t agree. I loved the ice blue color, style, and thought it complimented her beautifully.
Kate Winslet looked beautiful in a strapless brown Ralph Lauren dress. She was on both the best and worst dress list. Of course, I have her on my Best Dressed list and thought she looked amazing.
Naomi Watts always seems to show up looking glamourous on the red carpet and for the Oscars, was no exception. Also, I thought she represented Hollywood elegance.
Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin made a handsome couple. It was too bad Sylvester Stallone didn’t pick up the Oscar for best-supporting actor. Their style certainly was a Win.
I thought Lady Gaga, Jennifer Garner and Alicia Vikander were some of the best of the night.
Worst Dressed
On Oscars 2016 Best – Worst Dressed List were some surprises that I didn’t agree with on either category. I’ve seen Jennifer Lawrence on both lists and thought she looked great in a Black lace and ruffled Dior dress. She usually is seen in color and I liked seeing her in black – it was a variation from prior red carpet appearances. One I was on the fence with was Briar Larson. I loved the color but not as big a fan of the dress featured below. I thought it had too much going on from the ruffles to the jeweled waist. What is your opinion?
Jennifer Jason Leigh was on several Worst Dress lists and I disagree. She was wearing Pantone’s 2016 Color of the year, Rose Quartz. Moreover, I thought her dress, hair and jewelry was elegant.
Michael Strahan was featured on both the best and worst dressed lists. I thought the color was fun however thought the ensemble resembled a bell boy uniform. What do you think?
Jared Leto was on both the best and worst dress lists. He marches to the beat of his own drum and always seem to have fun. Furthermore, I like that he is unconventional and has his own style. Also, I liked the black velvet shoes he wore to accessorize his suit.
