For any movie buff, I’m sure you were watching the 90th Academy Awards show last night. Consequently, Jimmy Kimmel will host the show for the second year in a row. Since there is a lot going on in Hollywood and in politics; Jimmy is the perfect choice to navigate the award show.
Personally, Kimmel has shown vulnerability; as he has shared his story of his son being born with a heart defect. Although Kimmel took some time off the air; he has returned to television showing a much softer side.
Fashion Statement – Academy Awards
To show support of Time’s Up at both the Grammy’s and the Golden Globe’s; nominees, presenters and performers are making a statement. So, at the Golden Globes; we saw the majority dressed in black. Be sure to visit my Golden Globes Fashion Statement to read more.
Also, at the Grammy’s, White Roses were seen in support of the Time’s Up movement. Be sure to visit my Grammys White Rose Fashion Statement post to read more. In the same fashion, the message sent to those attending the Academy Awards is to wear a pin.
In addition to the pins from Time’s Up; the gun based advocacy group, Everytown for Gun Safety has also created pins for those attending the Oscars. With all the gun violence throughout the country; I think this will resonate with many guests attending the awards show.

Since I usually highlight the best and worst fashion styles of the night; I skipped that in my prior posts for the Golden Globe and the Grammy’s. However, since the Oscar’s are the end of award season; I have decided to share a few of my favorites of the night.

Conclusion
As a Woman, I have found Award season to be much more interesting than prior years. In essence, I think everyone has received the memo that sexual harassment and abusive behavior will no longer be tolerated.
