Oscars are the last award show for big films for the year prior. In the same fashion, all eyes are on who will win some of the big awards and of course on what everyone is wearing.
Oscars 2019

Since Kevin Hart decided to step down from hosting this year’s award show; for the first time in thirty years this year will be without a host.
Already, there has been a lot of backlash that the biggest award show of the year is without a host. So, without a host; this year’s focus was on the musical performances and the presenters. Was this a miss for the Academy?
Oscars Red Carpet Fashion Styles
In my opinion, the best part of the show is the red carpet. So, before the show started I have had my eye on the E Red Carpet show. Not only have I seen some great fashion styles, jewelry, make-up and hairstyles; but I also saw a lot of the movies and performances previewed.
Especially entertaining is Brad Goreski’s take on the styles. Brad’s background is in the fashion industry: and he always brings his humor and knowledge to the red carpet.
For any nominee or presenter, they want to look their best on the red carpet. Because stylists have seen all the dresses by the time the Academy Awards begin; it’s always exciting to see if there is something new or that has been custom-made for the Oscars.
Oscars Best Dressed
Because color was huge on both the Golden Globe and the Grammy’s; it was nice to see this continue. Below are a few of my personal favorites of the night.
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk matched in black and looked to be very much in love as they gazed into each others eyes.
Bill Porter couldn’t decide between a tuxedo or a dress; so he wore both together – a great representation of gender blurring lines. To read more, be sure to visit my Gender Fluid Fashion Trend Happening post.
Oscars – Worst Dressed
Although, I was hoping to see some gold styles, I wasn’t a fan of Glenn Close’s dress.
Oscars – Hit or Miss?
No doubt, yellow seemed to be a popular color choice as seen on Constance Wu below in a custom Versace.
Regina King has been a front-runner all season. Although, her white dress and hair were pretty, there was nothing special about her style.
Whenever Emma Stone shows up on the red carpet, you can expect the unexpected. And, once again she didn’t disappoint.
