2018 Golden Globe

So, this year’s host will be Seth Meyers. Since there is a lot going on in Hollywood; many thought this years host would be a female. With Meyers insight and his Wife’s experience as an Assistant District Attorney who prosecutes sexual assault cases; he should handle his hosting duties well.

Time’s Up

In a year that had over 300 Women in the film, television and theater industry come together; Time’s Up is calling for change in the entertainment industry. First, and foremost, Time’s Up was started to support Women to have access to the media and funds to speak about experiences of sexual harassment and abuse.

In the first place, 13 million dollars was set up by the National Women’s Law Center to support Women in the workplace. As a result of individuals speaking up; this movement will help towards gender parity in studio and talent agencies. For more on gender parity; visit my International Women’s Day post.

Conclusion

As a Woman, I was sexually harassed when I was in the Banking Industry. In summary, my experience led me to file a claim against the Bank which I was fortunate to settle with out of court. After my experience; I chose to start my own company. Indeed, it is important for all Women to feel special inside and out.

By everyone wearing black; they are showing that they are standing together as one. Not only is the Golden Globes Fashion styles seen on the red carpet; but this year’s message should also resonate with individuals everywhere.
