Celebrate Life Month January

Celebrate Life Month January

Of course, it is the start of the New Year and this month is Celebrate Life Month. As the year begins, let’s take a look back at the past year.

About Celebrate Life Month

So, January is nationally recognized as the Celebration of Life month in the United States. In the first place, it is important to respect life at an early age. At the same time, it is important to teach our children about life expectancy. In addition, if you have Grandparents who live nearby, arrange a visit. If your relatives don’t live nearby, have your kids make a phone call.

Donate

Since this is the first month of the year, now is a good time to get rid of anything you don’t need. Visit my Give Back this Holiday Season post for some things you can do to brighten someone else’s day. If your planning to throw something away; consequently you can think about giving it to a family in need. Or, if you have a donation box, drop items off.

If you have kids, you can have them give away a toy they no longer use. Another suggestion is to bring a toy they have and donate it to a children’s hospital.

Celebrate Life Month

At the start of a New Year, it is important to take some time for ourselves. Because most of us work, now is a good time to reflect on our career. Although work is an important part of our life; our life shouldn’t center around our job. With the New Year upon us, now is the time to take inventory. In the same fashion, it is important to take inventory of the last year. What brought you happiness? If there were things that made you uneasy, try to eliminate these things from your life.

Another important part of our life is our friends and family. Visit my Friendship Makes Life Sparkle post and make time for your friends. Whether it is something simple as lunch; make the time to spend with someone who makes you happy.

My Celebrate Life Month Goals

In fact, this month is a time for me to reflect upon the last year and make some changes for the upcoming year. As I begin the year, I am looking ahead to my purpose in life. Although the loss of Edie is on my mind daily; I am focusing on making changes to better myself.

In addition to losing Edie; I lost my Sister-in-law, Maria this past year. Although I have had many losses in my life; I have learned to pave my own way in life.

Celebrate Life Month and  My Year Resolutions

Of course, I have had a lot of heartache in my life over the last several years; however at the same time, I have become a stronger person. So, my resolutions for 2018, I want to share with you. My resolutions for the upcoming year are:

  • Continue on my blogging and writing journey. Visit my Lynne’s Blogging Vision Journey post to read more about my vision for the future. As I continue to work with my Social Media Expert, I am growing in several areas in my career.
  • In addition, I hope to continue to pursue new classes and activities. Moreover, my Husband and I are taking a Salsa Dance class.
  • Of course, I want to visit new places and hope to travel more in the upcoming year.
  • Exercise more and try new healthy recipes.

No doubt, we all may not be where we hoped to be in our life. However, the road to greatness can be achieved by different choices in our every day life. So, this year is about creating new memories and surrounding myself by people who matter to me.

In essence, it is important to realize the person you are is based on things that have happened in your life. If you’re looking to make changes; this is a new year.

As always, I welcome your comments.
