Met Gala 2017 was last night. Of course, it is one of the biggest nights in fashion. In the same fashion, Apple is a sponsor for the second year in a row.

At the same time, this event happens the first day of May every year. Because many of us do not have $30,000 for a ticket, we will be watching the live stream.

In addition to Apple sponsoring the event, it is also sponsored by Conde Nast, Farfetch, H & M, and Maison Valentino. The hosts of this year’s event are Anna Wintour, Tom Brady, Giselle Bundchen, Katy Perry and Pharrell Willliams. The honorary chairwomen are Rei Kawabuko, whom this year’s event is about and Caroline Kennedy, former United States Ambassador to Japan.

In the first place, Rei Kawabuko founded Comme Des Garcon in 1969. So, this year’s exhibit is titled the “Art of the In-Between”. For the most part, Kawabuko’s designs are different from many other designers. Indeed, she pushes boundaries of identity, beauty and gender.

Since Rei Kawabuko’s designs push boundaries, it was exciting to see the fashions representing the “Art of the In-Between”.
Giselle Bundchen and Tom Brady looked spectacular. In keeping with the theme, Giselle wore a backless Stella McCartney metallic dress.
So, Katy Perry decided to go all out in a custom red Maison Margiela ensemble. For me, this wasn’t one of my favorites as I found it over the top and way too much fabric. I have this as one of my worst dressed for the night. Hit or Miss?
Also, Pharrell Williams was dressed in Comme des Garcons jeans, a plaid shirt and leather jacket. Helen Lasichanh wore a red Comme De Garcons style from the Fall 2017 collections.
Anna Wintour wore a custom Chanel dress by Karl Lagerfeld. Hit or miss?
Best Dressed
In the same fashion, below are some of my favorite looks of the night. Surprisingly, both of the dresses below are from Topshop. Not only were both styles sophisticated, but also classic.
For the most part, plunging necklines were a big look at this year’s event. As seen below, a few of my favorite styles were:
Priyanka Chopra had on one of my all time favorite looks of the night. Hence, the trench coat dress was by Ralph Lauren.

In addition, Solange Knowles always shows up looking good at the Met Gala. Also, I like the white lace peeking out from her puffy black coat.
For the second year in a row, Nick Jonas looks fantastic.
