First and foremost, the Bruins have an exciting core of players. Not only do they have some of their regular core players; but they also have some exciting young players. To read more about the Bruins, check out my Best Sports Month October 2018 post.

Moreover, the Bruins top line consisting of David Pastrnak, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand are leading the team in scoring.

So this year’s team is coming together at the right time. To read about some of the deals the Bruins made at the trade deadline; check out my NHL Trade Activity 2019 post.

In fact, on January 19th was their last loss in a regular game before they went on a 19 game tear. When their 19 game streak ended, they ended up losing three games in a row. But, that seems to be in the rear view mirror, as the team has won their last several games.

Now that David Pastrnak is back from injury; the team seems to be firing on all cylinders. So, for the third consecutive year and 72nd time, the Boston Bruins clinch a playoff spot. Not only did the Bruins clinch a playoff spot; but for the second straight year, they have hit 100 points.

Although the regular season ends on April 6th; the Bruins still have several regular season games left. Even though the Bruins have clinched a spot; they want to continue to play well and not lose any momentum.

With the Bruins clinching a playoff spot, all rounds of the playoffs will go on sale today at 11:00 a.m. Luckily, my husband is a season ticket holder and is all set for playoff tickets.
