Best sports month for any fan is October. No doubt, no matter what sport you love, you can find it on television. So, let’s take a look at all the sports you can tune into this month.
Best Sports Month – October
When the Fall season begins, sports fans get ready for basketball, football and hockey. And, with the baseball season winding down, the MLB playoffs are on.
Ultimately, this month is pivotal for any fan.
Game on
First, Major League playoffs are underway. And, if you’re from Boston, the Boston Red Sox had the best record in baseball. Also, the NBA and NHL have started. Since both the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics have a young and exciting core of players; are you excited to see if both teams make a deep playoff run this season? So far, the Boston Bruins record is 4 – 1. And, the Boston Celtics begin their season on October 16th.
At the same time, the NFL has already played approximately 6 games. Although the New England Patriots started off slow, order has been restored in Patriots Nation. To read more, check out my New England Patriots Season Preview post. Consequently, the Patriots record is at 4 – 2.
Meanwhile, turn on your television set almost any night of the week in October and you’re likely to find several games on.
Why is October the Best Sports Month?
Not only is October a big month for professional sports teams, but also for college football. In addition, soccer fans can see many of their rival teams matched up this month.
If you live in the Boston area, than you’re lucky enough to see four professional sports teams all with playoff potential this season. Since I’m a major Red Sox fan, I’m obsessed that my team is in the ALCS.
Since I’m in a bet with a friend that the Patriots will again make the playoffs, I’ve been equally excited to watch the games. Although, the Patriots definitely have a few question marks, mainly in their defensive line; it will be exciting to see if they turn it around.
Equally important is my Hubby has season tickets for the Boston Bruins. Will there be another playoff run this season?
Will the Boston Celtics win the Eastern Conference with LeBron now in Los Angeles?
In my opinion, October is the best sports month for any sports fan. Now, my only dilemma is finding multiple TV’s to see all the games simultaneously.
