Busy Boston Sports Day October 5th

Busy Boston Sports Day October 5th

So, don’t make any plans today as it is a busy Boston Sports day. If you don’t have plans yet; you can go to the Boston Bruins season opener. Or, you can watch the Boston Red Sox at 4:00 p.m. Still, you can catch the Thursday night, NFL game of the week.

Boston Sports Day

October is a busy sports month for professional sports teams. As a result of living in the Boston area; I have a lot of games to watch throughout the late afternoon and into the evening.

Not only is there a lot of games to see for Boston Sports fans, but also throughout the month. In fact, not only is it the MLB playoffs and World Series, but also the beginning of the NBA and NHL season. In addition, the NFL and College football are already underway.

Boston Red Sox

Of course, everyone knows how passionate I am about the Boston Red Sox. So, I will be watching the game at 4:00 p.m. today. Visit my Sox Clinch Second Straight Division Title post. Because the Red Sox and Houston Astros ended their last 4 games of the regular season against each other; these two teams have some familiarity heading into Game 1 of the American League Division Series.

The Boston Red Sox schedule is as follows:

  • Game 1 – Thursday, October 5th at 4:08 p.m. from Houston
  • Game 2 – Friday, October 6th at 2:05 p.m. from Houston
  • Game 3 – Sunday, October 8th at 2:38 p.m. from Boston
  • Game 4 – Monday, October 9th – TBA from Boston
  • Game 5 – Wednesday, October 11th – TBA from Houston

In any case, Game 4 and 5 are contingent on if either team wins in three or four games.

Boston Bruins

With the Bruins having a lot of young talent and locking up David Pastrnak, they are ready to start their season. Consequently, many Sports Writers are predicting the Bruins to make it to the playoffs. Although the Bruins were eliminated early in last year’s playoffs; will they make it beyond Round 1.

Because Game 1 hasn’t even started, they have a long season ahead. Strangely enough, we have seen many unexpected things happen during the regular season. So, Game 1 is set to begin tonight against the last season’s Western Conference Champs, Nashville Predators at 7:00 p.m.

New England Patriots

With the Patriots off to a shaky start, how will they fare in their fifth game of the season. Because the Patriots defense has been terrible, they are allowing over 30 points a game. Will Bill Belichick get his defense to stop leaving receivers wide open?

Since the season is still early, Patriot Nation is hoping the team figures out their problems. Is there communication issues? Moreover, there is a lot of talent on the team. However, they have to figure out how to play better as a team.

Finally, the Patriots are playing tonight at 8:30 p.m. against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Will you be watching Boston sports teams today?

As always, I welcome your comments.
