Boston Celtics v Cleveland Cavaliers

Boston Celtics v Cleveland Cavaliers

After the Boston Celtics eliminated the Philadelphia 76ers last night, they will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. So, for the second straight year the Celtics will face the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Boston Celtics,

In the first place, this years team has faced a lot of adversity. After losing the first two games of the season, this team went on to win 16 straight. To read more, visit my Red Hot Boston Celtics Team post. From the first game when Gordon Hayward was injured, their young core of players have battled.

When the team lost Kyrie Irving early in April; this years team wasn’t expected to get past the Philadelphia 76ers.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Indeed, this years team didn’t look the same as prior seasons. There were a lot of trades in the off-season and at the trade deadline.  Of course, LeBron James has been leading his team to victories in the playoffs. So, the challenge is who will guard LeBron in the Eastern Conference finals.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have beat Boston in 2 out of 3 of the regular season games.

Eastern Conference Schedule

Boston Celtics v Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction

So, same place, same time. Again, these two teams face off for the second consecutive year. In fact, the Cavaliers eliminated Boston in 5 games last year.

Because of Boston’s injuries, they weren’t expected to get past the 76ers. Of course, it would have been fun to see Kyrie Irving face his old team in the Eastern Conference finals. Since Boston has the home court advantage; will they get past the Cavaliers? Will they surprise everyone and head to the NBA Finals?

Due to all of Boston’s injuries, the sports analysts have picked the Cavaliers to advance to the finals.

As always, I welcome your comments.
