So, the Bruins third round begins tonight. After defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets in six games; the Bruins will host the Carolina Hurricanes.
Bruins Third Round Playoff Review
So, after defeating the Blue Jackets on Monday night; the Bruins have paved their way to the Eastern Conference Finals. To read more about the previous round, be sure to check out my Boston Bruins Second Round Playoff Review post.
To date, there have been a lot of surprises in the playoffs. With the Bruins having the home play advantage for the remainder of the playoffs; this should provide a spark to the team. In the regular season, the Bruins were 2 – 1 – 0 against the Hurricanes.
Surprisingly, Tuukka Rask has been unbelievable in the playoffs and has been the MVP.
Boston Bruins Third Round Playoff Schedule
So, for the third time, the Hurricanes and Bruins will match up in the playoffs. Indeed, this should provide a great series. The schedule for the Eastern Conference Finals is as follows:
- As the series opens tonight, the Carolina Hurricanes will be in Boston – May 9th – 8:00 p.m.
- Game 2 will be in Boston on Sunday, May 12th at 3:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Game 3 will be in Carolina on Tuesday, May 14th at 8:00 p.m.
- Game 4 will be in Carolina on Thursday, May 16th at 8:00 p.m.
- Game 5 will be in Boston on Saturday, May 18th at 7:15 p.m. if needed
- If needed, Game 6 will be in Carolina on Monday, May 20th at 8:00 p.m.
- Finally, if needed, Game 7 will be in Boston on Wednesday, May 22nd at 8:00 p.m.
Since my Hubby is a season ticket holder, I’m excited for this series and looking forward to attending some of the games with him.
