So, if you enjoy reading; today is the perfect day to enjoy picking up a new book. Are you looking for some fun ways to celebrate this day?
- Personally, I love reading so I always have a lot of books loaded onto my kindle.
- Indeed, a library is a great way to treat yourself to exploring all types of books. Also, if you don’t have a library card; you may want to get one today.
- Another great way to celebrate the day is to have a book swap party. Get together with a few friends and exchange books you have read. After you have all read a book or two; make plans to get together to talk about your favorite story.
- In my opinion, there is nothing like finding a cozy place to read and immerse yourself in a story.
Celebrate Book Lovers Day – My Recommendations
Of course, the best way to spend today is to treat yourself to some new books. In addition, you may want to pick up a few books to give as gifts.
So, if you cannot decide what book to buy today; don’t fret as below are a few of my favorites. From the 2018 New York Times 100 Notable Books; I recently read A Princess in Theory.
In this story, Naledi Smith is busy with Grad school and doesn’t have time for fairy tales nor the amount of emails she has been receiving that she is betrothed to a prince. Of course, Naledi deletes the email.
Enter Prince Talebo, the heir to the Throne of Thesolo. Talebo decides to meet her in person and Naledi mistakes him for someone else. As Talebo plays along with this; they get to know each other. Eventually, this backfires. When Naledi finds out who Talebo is; she backs away.
When Talebo convinces Naledi to come with him to Thesolo; they both learn lessons in getting to know themselves. This love story has intrigue, humor and sexy dialogue.

Because I am a fan of The Devil Wears Prada; I am looking forward to reading When Life Give You Lululemons. Early on, I’m finding this a quick read with the type of chick-lit I was looking for.
