Celebrate Labor Day September 2

Celebrate Labor Day today. So, the last holiday weekend of Summer has arrived. Indeed, this day is all about you. The U.S. Department of Labor wants to celebrate all American workers. In my opinion, the best things about this holiday is having three days off.

Celebrate Labor Day

In the first place, this holiday traces back to New York City – Union Square on September 5, 1883. What started as a strike became a day off for workers. Not only do many companies have this day off; but more importantly, this day is a day to be recognized for success in your profession.

For many people, they will will get together and have a cookout. Also, many cities and towns have parades and festivities throughout the long weekend.

At the same time, many consider this holiday to be around the time the NFL season begins. Typically, 99% of the time, the NFL plays their first game the Tuesday after Labor Day. However, this year, the first game in the NFL is on Thursday, September 5, 2019.

So every year; the question comes up whether you should wear white after Labor Day. Of course, you should. The color white is ideal to wear all year around. Be sure to check out my Crisp White Denim Fashion Guide post. Whether you’re dressed in all white or just wearing a white T-shirt; I think white is the perfect color to wear all year long.

Since everyone needs a white shirt in their wardrobe; the one featured below is perfect to wear either with jeans or a suit.
