Festival of Sleep Day

Festival of Sleep Day

Festival of Sleep Day is today! So, this fun holiday is dedicated to sleep and relaxation. Also, after the holiday season, this whimsical holiday is to encourage people to catch up on the sleep they lost during the festive season.

Festival of Sleep Day

First and foremost, if you wake up sleepy today; don’t worry. Whether you have a lot of things to do today or not; try and take some time to hit the pause button in your busy schedule.

Although there is no origin on when this day started; it has been assumed to be about Ancient Greeks.

In earlier centuries sleep was divided into two different parts of the day. However, many people worked at different times during the day.

In 1926, a regulation was introduced by Ford. At that time, they became the first company to provide their employees with a fixed schedule. Meanwhile, the fixed schedule allowed their employees to get to bed at a reasonable time every night.

Today, this day is a celebration to help you recharge your batteries.

Indeed, the most important activity you can do today is to make sure you get enough rest. Even if you walk up early; try to take the time for a nap during the day. Visit my Power Nap post for tips on getting some shut-eye.

In addition, the best way to partake in this day is to make sure you are getting enough rest to recharge your batteries.

Indeed, the best way to make sure you are getting enough sleep is to try and go to bed around the same time each night. However, if you or someone you know isn’t getting enough sleep; see what you can do to help either yourself or someone get their 40 winks.

Meanwhile, if you exercise regularly; chances are that physical exercise will help wear you down.

Ways to get enough Sleep

Of course, the best way to get enough sleep is to stay healthy and active during the day. For instance, the busier you are during the day; the more rest you need.

However, if you find it difficult to fall asleep; I recommend you take a natural supplement that helps you have a more restful night of sleep.

In addition, the balanced cortisol is a drug-free formula that balances your stress and helps you get the sleep you need.

For the best results, take one supplement about an hour before you want to go to bed. But, if you find one supplement doesn’t work; I recommend you speak to your Physician.

Another suggestion I have for you is to read. When I am reading for a while, I have found that my eyes get tired and I’m able to unplug and turn off the lights for 40 winks.

Health Benefits of Sleeping

Of course, everyone must have enough rest. Many medical professionals recommend that sleeping an average of 7 – 8 hours each day is better for your brain and physical health. Also, this is especially significant for older people.

In fact, without enough rest, individuals are not able to focus and work as effectively as someone who has had a proper night of rest. However, sometimes things interfere with our daily lives not giving us enough time for adequate sleep. So, if something occurs out of the ordinary that impacts your sleep; you may want to use a sleep aid or speak to a medical professional.
