As we embrace longer days and nicer weather, it is time to tackle the to-do lists of home projects. In the first place, open your windows and let the fresh air in. The second thing to do is spring cleaning. Now is a good time to declutter and organize. Visit my post on Clean, Donate, Swap, Sell Clothes. Indeed, it feels lighter to get rid of items you don’t need anymore. As you’re cleaning, only keep the items you really need. If you haven’t used something in a while, time to toss.
At the same time, add some new hardware on your cabinets and drawers. Now is a good time to add any rugs, curtains or shades. A few small things can make a big difference to your home. If you’re looking for a few accessories, add some tropical prints. A throw pillow is sure to give a sofa a new look. Also, consider adding some new light fixtures. In addition, add some new table lamps. Since individuals spend so much time in their home, it is nice to invest in quality products. Hence, add some artisan craft furniture or fixtures.
Home Exterior Decorating
Of course, the outside exterior of your home is the first thing people notice. Now is the time to add a fresh coat of paint outside. Replace any shutters. It is important to put in some time to make the outside of our home attractive.
Also, you can also add some plants and greenery to your landscape. Besides planting, make sure your lawn looks green and healthy. My Husband and I have a lawn care company who takes care of our yard and keeps it looking fresh throughout the year.
Add a few exterior details to your window. Since I enjoy spending time outdoors in the warmer weather, I like decorating my screen porch. With this in mind, you can add a couple of fun chairs, tables, pillows and an outdoor grill.
