Like Love Hate Social Media Relationship

Like love hate social media – well today’s post is about the good and bad of social media. In the first place, it seems like everyone is on one platform or another. Perhaps, you’re active on several social media platforms.

Like Love Hate Social Media

When I first started in social media, I was active on Facebook. At the same time, it was necessary for me to have an account to share information with my Store Owners, Buyers, Designers and Manufacturers. Since I closed my Women’s Wholesale Apparel Sales Office, I have deleted my Facebook account.

When I transitioned to blogging and writing, I became active on various social media platforms. With this in mind, I began actively sharing my photo’s and posts.

Do I like love, hate social media? For me, I have a love hate relationship.

Like Love Hate Social Media Accounts

Why do we like some things? In addition, why do we follow and unfollow profiles regularly? What does it say about someone who one day, likes something and the next week removes their comments or like status?

As a newbie to social media, I still find it frustrating on a regular basis. Social media can say a lot about you or as little as you want to share. Although, the more followers and likes you have, the more your profile will stand out. Of course, social media does not define you.

Social Media Profiles

When creating your profile, make sure you have information posted that you want others to know. Remember, information is shared. In the same fashion, do not put up personal information that could harm you or impact you down the road.

In addition, it is important to create a profile that tells others about you and information that supports your cause. Also, it is inspiring when others comment, follow and share your post.

Social Media is Changing People

Because social media are changing people, it isn’t an advantage. For one thing, social media is taking away the human day-to-day relationships. Too many people are communicating through technology. Even if you have various social media accounts, it doesn’t mean you have to look at it 24/7.

Online bullies are causing real problems for many of our youth. Today’s youth is not growing up, being able to have face-to-face conversations. Furthermore, what happens in cyberspace may not be relevant to everyday settings. Many individuals are losing important communication skills. How many times do you go somewhere and see people buried in their smart phone?

Social Media Benefits

In the same fashion, social media can be good if you’re trying to get a message across to a lot of people. Also, if you’re trying to raise awareness for a cause, social media can be beneficial.

Conclusion

Since I’m more into blogging and writing, I’m not spending as much time on social media. What about you? Do you spend a lot of time on various social media platforms? In conclusion, are you like me – you have a like love hate social media relationship?

As always, I look forward to your comments. Of course, if you want to give me some pointers on social media, I’m open to your suggestions.
