I Am That Girl

I Am That Girl

I am that Girl! We all know a girl who is beautiful, charming, and perfect. Additionally, we love her. We hate her.  Furthermore, we all want to be her. So, I have a big heart, quick on my feet, and a brilliant mind. But, I am me – perfectly flawed and a work in progress.

I am that Girl

One of my goals in life is to help enrich the lives of people everywhere. I want to help others in areas I’ve experienced, lived, and grown.

At the same time, the one quality about me is I’m a good friend. For those who I call myself a friend to, you know who you are. I promise to cherish every minute with you, spend time with you; be there for you in good times and bad, and always have your back. I’m on a mission to raise my standards.

In 2015 I suffered the tragedy of the death of my sister, Edie. She was someone I was lucky to have in my life and a wonderful sister and friend. With tragedy sometimes things change. My family has been torn apart by this tragedy and I’ve felt alone since her passing. I’ve been lucky to have the support of my husband and many friends. They have been my rock and I hope to reciprocate for anyone close to me in time of need.

I am that girl and want to treat myself, others, and the world better. Also, I hope to leave my mark and make the world a better place. Every time I look into a mirror, I realize I’m not alone. Of course, I am a person with a voice no matter what. My opinion may be different from others, but I can look in the mirror and like what I see. My values, morals, and beliefs matter.

Conclusion

Be the best girl you can.  Comparing yourself to others is exhausting.  We may not be perfect.  However, we can be confident in ourselves. Confidence comes from within oneself.  Moreover,  we have insecurities and strive for perfection.  My mother used to have a saying,” that perfect people are six feet under”.

As I’ve become older and hopefully wiser; I’ve learned to love myself and my insecurities, faults, and flaws. Also, the call is to recognize our insecurities and use them to our benefit. Furthermore, know what it means to be “That Girl”

In conclusion, I am learning to be the best I can and realize that perfection doesn’t exist.

As always, I welcome your comments on “Are you that girl”?
