Jo Malone’s Basil Neroli New Fragrance

Jo Malone’s new fragrance, Basil Neroli is being introduced in September.  Since 1999’s Lime Basil & Mandarin, this is the first fragrance in many years containing basil as the main ingredient.

British brand Jo Malone has done it again.  This new fragrance is to be worn on its own, or layered with other additions in their scent line.

London is at its most fashionable – young and fun.  Flirt with a delicious wink of basil and flirty floral neroli.  This fragrance is fresh, fun and full of adventure.

Basil

Since basil is the top ingredient in this new fragrance, it is quintessentially British in essence.  While being a fresh, sophisticated, sensual floral with green accents, Basil & Neroli is warming to the heart.

Inspired by the leafy green herb and gardens of London; this fragrance is a delightful base of white musk, woodsy scent and an earthy burst of playfulness.

Floral Neroli

Neroli is produced from the blossom of a bitter orange tree.  Neroli is sweet, honey, somewhat metallic, with green and spicy facets.

Basil Neroli Notes

Since the top note in this new fragrance is basil, the heart notes Neroli, while the base is a white musk and embrace of vetiver giving off earthy tones.

Fragrance Combinations

Another way to wear Basil Neroli is pairing it with Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Red Roses or Blackberry & Bay.  When layering your fragrance, start with a bath oil, body lotion and powder.  In essence, layering provides the scent will retain its note all day long.

Recommendation

September will be the month most of us will fall hard for basil.  I was lucky to receive a few testers to try before the launch.   Although the main note is green, the fragrance provides a clean crisp scent for the day.  This fragrance smells great and can be for both Men and Women alike.  Basil Neroli is modern and playful.  I personally love this fragrance.
