June is Great Outdoors Month – Head Outside to Embrace America

June is Great Outdoors Month! With everything beginning to reopen, it’s time to get outside and enjoy nature. Since the majority of people have spent more time indoors since COVID-19; plan to kick off the month by heading to the beach, fishing, hiking, and celebrating the month being outside your home.

June is Great Outdoors Month – How this Month Began

In 1998, President Bill Clinton created this month. Since than, this has grown under Bush, Obama and Trump into a celebration of enjoying the outdoors. At the same time, this event offers a lot of benefits. For instance, not only does being outside benefit your health; but is also good for economics and the social economy of the United States.

How to Celebrate

As the nation begins reopening, it is time to venture out. Whether you are going on your first camping trip, going on a hike, or fishing; this is the perfect time to embrace something new.

Since there are thousands of events throughout the U.S.A., are you ready to get started?

National Great Outdoors Day

Also, this day was dedicated by the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable and U.S. Forest Service to boost awareness not only for the month but as well as dedicate a day to get people outside.

On June 12th, the National Forest Service offers a day for everyone to get outside; and they waive the recreational fees to forests and parks.
