Celebrate American Adventures Month by Planning some Trips in the USA

Celebrate American Adventures Month! Due to COVID-19, many people are not traveling far this Summer. So, if you’re looking for a new adventure or ready to try something new; I have several ideas I want to share with you.

Celebrate American Adventures Month

Of course, so many plans have been canceled due to the pandemic; but you can still do something on your bucket list.

Recently, my husband found this great scenic rail bike ride. Since I never heard about this; I was beyond ecstatic to see some nice scenery as well as get some exercise.

With social distancing and face masks; you want to enjoy your adventure but also stay safe.

When you’re looking for something off the beaten path; be sure to check out my Travel List Vacation Plans post for some ideas.

Challenges Facing Many Travelers

Although it may not be possible to get to a lot of places you hoped to visit this summer; you can still plan either some family adventures or a romantic getaway closer to your backyard. Since the spring, my trip to Portugal was postponed until next year.

And more recently, my hubby and I canceled our vacation planned for Aruba due to flight changes and COVID-19 test results needed within 72 hours of our travel time. However, we have been creative in planning some day trips and overnight trips to visit areas we normally don’t visit without having to get on an airplane.

With challenges facing many people worldwide; you can use this month to plan a trip for next year. Or, you can try an adrenaline-pumping activity close to you.

Think Outside the Box

Although most likely your travel plans have been put on hold for 2020; you can still plan some adventurous trips or activities near you.

For instance, if you love camping; plan a trip. With many states having restrictions; be sure to read up on everything you need to know to find campgrounds you can travel to. Also, be sure to pack some goodies so you can make S’mores. To learn more about creating these yummy treats; be sure to check out my Celebrate National S’mores Day August 10 post for some delectable recipes and treats.

If you love the ocean or fishing; plan a day or weekend trip to reel in some fish.

Another great idea is to plan a short jaunt somewhere in the state you live in. Do you plan trips often nearby? Well if not, now is the time to familiarize yourself with a different location and stay overnight.

When you’re looking for the experience of a lifetime; plan a hot air balloon ride. You can drift in the wind and enjoy floating thousands of feet of the ground. For a tour near you; be sure to visit Cloud 9 Living.

In conclusion, celebrate American Adventures Month by creating your own memorable journey.
