MFS Washington DC 2020

MFS Washington DC returns for its 10th season. When the show first debuted, there were three couples meeting at the Alter for the first time. In season 8, four couples were chosen. Be sure to read Married at First Sight Philadelphia post to read about the four couples. For the first time, there will be five couples this season.

Married at First Sight Prior Seasons

In the last few seasons, there have been many unhappy people chosen by the experts. For instance, in MFS, Philadelphia; Kate Sisk and Luke Cuccurullo seemed off from the beginning. Early in their marriage, Luke tells Kate he feels dead and isn’t attracted to her. Of course, it is no surprise the couple decides to get a divorce. When Season 9 began, you hoped the experts did a better job in pairing the couples together. However once again, there were several odd choices. Be sure to check out my Married at First Sight Charlotte post.

Consequently, early on we saw Amber Bowles and Matthew Gwynne’s marriage showing trouble from the beginning. With Matthew’s family never introduced throughout the series; and Matthew not coming home many nights, this marriage seemed doomed right from the start.

At the same time, Season 10 has five new couples meeting at the Altar for the first time. When the show returns tonight; each episode will be two hours instead of only one hour as prior seasons.

So, are you ready to learn more about the five couples chosen to meet at the altar?

  • Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd – Jessica is from Ohio and hoping to create her own love story. Austin resides in Maryland and is using his Niece’s love story as an inspiration for his own.
  • Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman – Katie comes from a home where she saw frequent domestic violence between her parents and has been cautious when it comes to her own relationship. Derek comes from a strong military background. Although Derek has never been in love; he is hopeful to find a forever love for the first and last time.
  • Taylor Dunklin and Brandon Reid – Taylor is from Pennsylvania and the one thing she feels she is missing in her life, is her special person. Brandon is from DC and feels he hasn’t been lucky in love and is counting on the experts to get it right.
  • Meka Jones and Michael Watson – Meka grew up in a single family home. Although she is successful in her career; she is hoping to find a partner she can build a life with. Michael comes from a close knit family and grew up in DC. He is ready for marriage and hoping to find his soul mate.
  • Mindy Shibin and Zach Justice – Mindy is a figure skating coach and Zach is a fitness professional. With both of them hoping to find their person; did the experts make a perfect match? Indeed, time will tell.

In summary, I’m looking forward to seeing how the experts did this time around.

As always, I welcome your comments on if you will be tuned into MFS Washington DC.
