So, on Friday, October 20, 2017, I attended the MS Fashion Plates Fashion Show and luncheon in Boston. The fashion show, luncheon is at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, Grand Ballroom.
Multiple Sclerosis
In the first place, the National Multiple Sclerosis is hoping to stop disease progression. In the same way, this organization’s purpose is to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS.
For those of you not familiar with MS; it is a disease that impacts your brain and body. Because each individual is different, it can lead to severe symptoms such as blindness and paralysis.
As for anyone who suffers from MS, it is nice to see so many people who don’t let this disease define them.
Fashion Plates 2017
When you arrive at the ballroom, there are a few tables set up to peruse. In addition, there was a photographer and a room set up with an open bar featuring white wine and champagne.
The doors opened at 11:45 and attendees were served a three course luncheon. As we were finishing up lunch, Anthony Everett welcomed everyone. When Anthony spoke about his involvement with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; it was apparent he cared deeply about the cause.
After Anthony spoke, Piper McNealy, Chair of the Fashion Plates spoke about her commitment to bring this event to fruition each year. Then, raffles were drawn. And the show, began.
Fashion Show
In my opinion, the best part of this event is the Models. Moreover, these Women will inspire you. All of the Models are ambitious Women who don’t let the disease defy them. Although they all have multiple sclerosis; they don’t let the disease slow them down.
So, these Women strutted the runway looking like they owned it. Not only did these Women rock the fashion styles, but also there were many tears shed throughout the audience.
Furthermore, Fashions were provided by Ports & Co., and Lyn Evans. Due to my association with both stores in the past, I was impressed with their compassion, demeanor and of course, fashions throughout the show.
No doubt, everyone walked away with great Fashion tips to begin shopping for their Fall and Winter wardrobe. Since some of the best Fall Fashion Trends are Grenadine red, velvet, Menswear and Glamorous styles; are you ready to update your wardrobe this season?
