First and foremost, clean beauty is products that are developed without any toxic ingredients.
Not only is this day for cosmetic brands; but also to use for your own personal usage:
- Non-toxic ingredients – Ingredients that are safe to use
- Transparent ingredients – This should include a list of all ingredients used in a product and label.
Since both of these are essential, how many labels mislead shoppers in their packaging? For instance, the word, fragrance isn’t considered an ingredient, but often companies use this as an ingredient. Hence, many cosmetic brands are using the words “Eco” or “Natural” often. However, are these ingredients organic?
At the same time, neither the word “natural ” nor ” organic” is necessary to be considered clean beauty. But cosmetic companies must eliminate any type of toxic ingredients from their products.
