The end of the New England Patriots season

New England Patriots AFC Championship

Today’s game resulted in an exciting game as the  New England Patriots beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship game.  Since I am on Vacation; I had to find a quiet place to catch the game.

Patriots  AFC Championship Game

Of course, this game was a nail biter until the last 2 minutes. As I mentioned in my New England Patriots Host Jaguars post; I had a fun bet with my Hubby. And based on our bet; I lost the bet for the second week in a row. Perhaps, I will have to rethink another bet with my husband.

From the get-go, the Patriots seemed off their game. In the first place, they gave up two touchdowns early on.

Moreover, there were questions before the game if Tom Brady was going to play due to a hand injury. But, being the gamer he is; he came out to play. Because Brady was not wearing a glove; there were concerns if he was going to be able to play the entire game.

Also, in the second quarter; Rob Gronkowski suffered a hit, helmet to helmet. Due to strict rules; Gronkowski was removed from the game for concussion protocol. So, based on the ruling; Gronkowski wasn’t allowed to return to the game.

Although the Patriots were down 10 points in the fourth quarter; they came back to win the game.

Jacksonville Jaguars

As I mentioned in my prior post; I wasn’t impressed and am surprised the Jaguars made it as far as they did. Although they didn’t beat the Patriots; they should be proud of how much they accomplished this year.

No doubt, Blake Bortles had the game of his life. However with the Patriots taking the lead; the Pats defense kept the Jaguars from scoring in the final minutes of the game. After losing to the Patriots; I saw Bortles in tears.

So after the Patriots come from behind to win; they will make their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Will the Patriots win back-to-back Super bowls? Will Rob Gronkowski be cleared to play?

As always,  I welcome your comments.
