No-Shave November is a yearly event that Men grow a beard and mustache to raise awareness for cancer. No-Shave November is a web based non-profit organization to raise funds to support cancer prevention and research.
What is No-Shave November
Although No-Shave November started in 2009 on Facebook, it has since become a big event for Men. Since 2009, it has raised over 2 million dollars for the American Cancer Society. So the rules are simple. For the purpose of this month, put down your razor for 30 days. Furthermore, at the end of the month, donate your hair maintenance expense to the cause.
If there is strict dress code at your place of business, trimming is considered acceptable.
Beard and Mustache Champions
Men from all over the world show off their facial hair in the World Beard and Mustache Association. Although the competition happens every other year, it is broken into categories.

This years competition will be in Australia and will be in the United States in 2017.
Movember Foundation
What is Movember? Movember is an Australian word. “Mo” means mustache. Furthermore, this movement was founded in 2003 to raise awareness on Men’s health issues. To date, it has raised over $650 million in over 21 Countries.
Also, if you’re a guy, you instantly become a “Mo Bro”. In addition, if your a female you become known as a “Mo Sista” Especially important is this organizations focus on prostate and testicular health.
Female Participation
While the focus is mainly on Men achieving facial hair goals, Women are not excluded from participation. Many Women have put their razor down and gone without shaving their legs.
