Poncho revival is one of the trends your most apt to like and wear the most and the majority of the Fall season and upcoming year.
My first memory of wearing a poncho was with my Family on a Vacation to Walt Disney World when I was a Teenager. My Mother knit both my Sister and me each one in different color combinations. I remember mine being red and navy knit with fringe detail.
Poncho Revival
The resurgence of this trend for the Fall Season has been with high necklines, and fringe details almost feeling like a cape with a street vibe. Poncho’s are fashion’s answer on wearing a comfy cozy blanket out. While keeping you cozy, they also keep certain body parts hidden. This style is easy to wear, super cozy and they go with everything. Many Designers featured poncho’s in Aztec and Graphic designs, Suede’s, luxurious furs and knits. Burberry has a luxury color monogrammed style that is on most Fashionista’s wish list. I’m lusting for this.
The trick to wearing this trend is picking the right color, and texture and wearing it with confidence. Poncho’s solve the problem of keeping you warm without losing the overall impact of your outfit. They can be worn year-round from Fall, Winter to Spring and Summer and can be dressed up to wear for the Holidays in velvets, furs – (real and faux), and can make the most casual clothing attire stand out.
This trend has gained momentum. The reason this has gained popularity is it is easy to wear, goes with everything and most important – one size fits all.
With the revival of this trend, poncho’s are certainly proving to be the go-to choice for the Season.
