Simplify Your Life Week August 1st – 7th

Since this is Simplify your Life Week and today’s post is about some tips on how to declutter your life. So, you may never have heard of this unique holiday. At the same time, this week is gaining traction. You may ask yourself “Why”.

Simplify Your Life Week

How many of us want to downsize or make things easier? Because so many of us are trying to make things easier, why not learn some new ideas.

Of course, we have all heard about Spring cleaning. In the same way, simplify your life is a great way to declutter before heading into the fall and holiday season.

Are you ready to get started? Because we all lead busy lives, why not set aside more time for yourself. Let’s explore some ways to make our lives easier. While you may only make one small change, you may find yourself feeling more relaxed.

Suggestions on How to Simplify Your Life Week

In the first place, do you like your job? If you’re not doing something you’re happy with, make a change. Look for something you feel passionate about. Don’t waste time in a career that is bringing you unhappiness and stress. In my opinion, the happier you’re in your job, the more fulfilled you will feel.

Because I’m a freelance writer and blogger, I enjoy spending time writing stories that resonate with my followers and readers. If I’m able to reach people with my message, then I feel like I have accomplished something meaningful. By loving what you’re doing, you will find yourself much happier.

First and foremost, financial issues and paying bills can cause a lot of stress. By getting in the habit of setting one to two days a month to pay bills, you can have better control of your budget. Also, I find by doing this, I save a lot of time during the month.

Another great habit to begin is to save your coins. I have a glass that I throw my coins in and roll these several times a year and deposit this into my savings account. By doing this, it adds hundreds of dollars to my account. I find this is an easy way to save money.

Because everyone is hung-up on technology, take some time to disconnect. By shutting off your cell phone, turning off your television or powering down your computer, you will have more one-on-one time or time to actually talk. For me, I find technology has taken away from real conversations. Visit my Like Love Hate Social Media post on this.

Time is Precious

Because we all need time for ourselves, learn to say “No”.  Although we all want to be there for our family and friends, sometimes it is best to not be available. In case, you truly aren’t available, offer a suggestion.

When you’re ready to let certain things go in your daily life, you will find yourself happier. We all need time to relax and catch up on things that make up happier. Whether it is a good book, a television show, or nothing at all, take that time to play catch-up.

To sum up, there are certain things we can eliminate from our daily lives and others we cannot. By making one small change in our lives, we will find ourselves much happier.

So, simplify your life today. As always I welcome your comments.
