Because I’m an avid reader, today’s post focuses on my Winter reading book recommendations. When was the last time you read a really good book?
Winter Reading
No matter what issues you face in your every day life, there is nothing like losing yourself in a really good book. Since the temperature outside is cold, why not immerse yourself in a good story. Take a look at some of my recommendations below and get reading.
Year of Living Blonde
A Year of Living Blonde is about Natalie, a plain Jane bakery owner who discovers her hotness when her Husband leaves her for a sexy older woman. Enter her gorgeous landlord. As Natalie begins a diet and exercise program, she goes from a mousey brunette to a blonde bombshell.
As Natalie gains strength, her romance heats up with her landlord. Although this is a great chick-lit book, it also has substance. In addition, there were some interesting supporting characters that I’m looking forward to reading about. I highly recommend this book as you won’t be able to put it down.
Return of the Jerk
If you enjoyed Year of Living Blonde, this book is the second book in this series by Andrea Simonne. For me, this book took off right away. Blair’s estranged husband shows up in the first chapter and from there the book takes off. This book was sweet, sexy and had you wondering half way through the book what will happen.
Also, this book resonated with me throughout. Many couples fall in love in their youth but things along the way change. Can the couple reconcile their differences? Do they find everlasting love? If you want to know the answers, you will have to read the book as I don’t want to spoil the outcome.
Some Like it Hotter
Some like it hotter is a continuation in this book series. Since Lindsay was introduced in the first book, I was excited to read this story. Lindsay comes across as a lot of fun and someone who doesn’t take life too seriously. Lindsay is living in Berlin temporarily as an artist and doesn’t have the money to return back home. She visits a Casino and runs into the jerk who left her hanging. Will she reunite with Giovanni?
Since I don’t want to spoil the outcome, you will have to read this book to find out what happens. Also, this book will have you laughing out loud.
Rules of Contact
Since I usually enjoy books by Jaci Burton, I downloaded a sample of this book. Right from the beginning of the sample, I was hooked. Upon finishing the sample, I bought this book and loved the story.
In the first place, I love sports so a book that has football and romance is a win-win. Flynn is a hot football player and owns a new restaurant. Amelia is his head chef. Although Amelia is recently divorced and isn’t looking for a relationship, it is clear she has an attraction to her boss. Also, because I’m a foodie there was a lot of food dialogue.
Conclusion
As an avid reader, I’m always on the lookout for good books. In conclusion, in the near future I will be sharing some more great books to read.
