Today, April fools Spring Snow is no joke. When I woke up this morning, I was surprised to see not only snow, but freezing rain.
Remembering April Fools Spring Snow Storm 1997
As I was driving to my appointment this morning, I couldn’t help remember the April fools blizzard of 1997. Prior to the blizzard of 1997, I couldn’t help remembering we didn’t get that much snow in the Winter of 1996/1997. Of course, today reminded me of that storm 20 years ago.
When I look back twenty years ago, I remember the following day having to be in the City of Boston and seeing a lot of snow everywhere. It was a surprise that the greater Boston area received over two feet of snow that day.
April Fools Spring Snow Storm 2017
Although today’s storm won’t have the outcome of the storm of 1997, we can still expect messy weather conditions throughout most of the day.
Because we haven’t had a lot of snow 2016/2017, I feel like Mother Nature is playing a joke. Although many people have already started a spring cleaning, home project, time to get out the shovel. When heading outdoors today, don’t forget your winter coat, mittens and hat.
Today’s weather pattern is rain mixed with snow throughout the day for New England and part of upstate New York. Although there won’t be as much snow accumulation as the storm twenty years ago, there could be coastal flooding.
Prior April Fools Spring Snow Storm Patterns
Although some of us may not remember, April Fools Spring snow storms have happened several times. Additionally, we had a major snow storm in April 1982 as well as snow early April in other years.

Get in on the fun today and take pranks to a new level. Also, a good joke to tell someone you have plans with today, is to let them know a few roads are closed. Be creative today. Have fun pulling pranks all day.
