So, are you ready to celebrate National Shoe the World Day? When it comes to this day; this day is not only about shoe lovers, but providing footwear to people who don’t have shoes to wear.
National Shoe the World Day
Did you know over half a million people worldwide do not have shoes? Because many people live in parts of the world with environmental and climate issues; the need for proper footwear is essential.
By the same token, this day can be traced back to 2014 when Donald Zsemonadi and the United Indigenous People started this day. At the same time, their purpose was to provide shoes for the shoeless.
Without footwear; kids and adults lose the opportunity to escape poverty.
How to Make a Difference
Of course, if you are looking to do something meaningful; look no further than your own closet. For instance, if you have shoes you no longer wear or have never worn; now is the time to donate these to one of the organizations providing shoes to people who need them.
