Recently, I was in New York attending a Masquerade Fundraiser for We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports. Since I’ve been working with this non-profit organization; they have increased their programs to reach at-risk youth.
After an exciting playoff series, the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup loss to the St. Louis Blues was disappointing. Although the Blues were in the playoffs in 1968, 1969 and 1970; last night was their first win in the Stanley Cup finals.
Boston Bruins v St Louis Blues will match up in the Stanley Cup Finals. So, the last time these two teams faced each other was in 1969 and 1970 in the finals. Indeed, a lot has changed since than.
So, the Boston Celtics were eliminated on Wednesday, May 8th in Milwaukee. Although the Celtics swept the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs; they didn’t play well in round 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
So, the Bruins third round begins tonight. After defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets in six games; the Bruins will host the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Boston Bruins second round begins tonight. So, after defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second straight year; the Bruins will host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Celtics sweep Pacers in the first round. In a fourth quarter surge, the Celtics break out the brooms in a score of 110 – 106 and will head to the second round.
No doubt, the Boston Red Sox are starting their season with a World Series hangover. After 108 wins in the regular season; the Sox are off to a slow start.
Of course, the Boston Red Sox expectations are high for the 2019 season. With Spring Training in the rear view mirror; today begins the Red Sox quest to repeat as World Series Champions. Boston Bruins clinch a spot in the playoffs with a 7 – 3 win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday night. Before they clinched a spot; the day began with Zdeno Chara signing a one year extension. In addition, the team called up Karson Kulhman.
