Fashion Inspiration Madeline Stuarts Debut

Fashion Inspiration – When a force or influence inspires others to make or create something.  What could be any more inspirational than the story I want to share with you.

With the recent ending of Fashion Week in New York City last month, I was reading an article about an 18-year-old Australian Model.  She had her start less than a year ago.  Madeline Stuart made her modeling debut walking in FTL Moda’s Spring 2016 Runway Show.  You may be reading this up to this point wondering what is unique about the above.  I can assure you reading about this Model who has down syndrome is beyond inspirational.

Fashion Inspiration

Madeline Stuart rose to fame after her Mother shared images on Facebook.  She had hopes of shifting people’s perceptions of what it is like to live with a disability.  Personally – I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia 10 years ago.  We are living in a society that places too much importance on physical beauty and perfection,

I think this story is a platform enabling others to understand disabilities.  I think it is wonderful that FTL Moda didn’t shy away from including perfect physical beauty looks for their Show.  Further investigating FTL Moda, I think it is inspiring they went beyond the typical Model Stereotype and support individuals with a disability during New York Fashion Week.   Fashion Inspiration – At it’s best – I hope to do my part as a Blogger inspiring others to accept all individuals living with disabilities.  I admire those who seek courage and go out against the grain of inspiring others.

So what does Fashion Inspiration mean to you?  Without Fashion, there wouldn’t be the Designers and Fashionista’s we all look forward to seeing season after season.  I hope to see more Individuals exhibit the courage in their support of anyone living with a disability.
